Allied Health Assistant
AHA's and their role
The Allied Health Assistants (AHA's) play a vital and varied role within Ranges CHS. They work across sites and across disciplines to provide valuable assistance to the allied health professionals, such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Podiatry, enabling the extension of these health services.

Direct client contact
Within the service the AHA's provide direct client contact in the form of groups and home visits, following assessment from the health professionals, as well as supporting staff in administrative tasks. The AHA's co-ordinate and deliver water exercise classes, a children's exercise group incorporating balance and co-ordination and an activity group for adults with varying disabilities. Overall, the AHA's play a role in assisting community groups in becoming self-sufficient and assist in streamlining processes such as the management of therapeutic equipment.

Working with volunteers
However, the Allied Health Assistants would like to acknowledge the support and assistance we receive from the Volunteers at Ranges C.H.S. The volunteers are a valued and integral part of the programs that we deliver.
