Counselling
|
Ranges CHS team of counsellors include a Psychologist, Social Workers and Community Health Nurses. They are available to help individuals and their families with the various issues or concerns that may arise in their lives from time to time.
While care from family and friends is important, sometimes it helps to see a professional counsellor in a confidential, non-judgmental setting for extra support. Issues dealt with by the team include: personal growth and self-development, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, parenting, concerns about children's emotional health or behaviour, health and disability, and many more. Counselling can be provided by phone, individual consultations or by attending group programs.

Community Health Nursing
|
Working with the local community forms the foundation of the Community Health Nursing role. Through networking and partnerships with local services we are able to be responsive to the needs of the local population and identify emerging needs.
Community Health Nurses respond in a flexible manner to the variety of presenting needs and issues. This approach encapsulates health education and health promotion strategies in both individual and group settings.

Occupational Therapy
|
Ranges CHS Occupational Therapy team aims to promote, maintain or restore optimum functioning of people as they go about their activities (occupations) each day. Specific services are offered for children and adults. The specialist services Occupational Therapists provide can include: daily living skills training, home assessments / modifications, cognitive assessment and retraining, carer education and support, provision of assistive or safety equipment, wheelchair and customised seating prescription, disability activity groups, and relaxation and stress management.
Clients have very individual needs so the Occupational Therapists work in the client's own environment, usually in their home, to ensure their interventions are meaningful for each person. Ranges CHS paediatric Occupational therapy service aims to promote functioning or performance of a child at home, at school and in their community.
