Who is this for?

Our Diabetes Educators provide early intervention, education and support to people who have been diagnosed or are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Our Diabetes Educators also see clients with type 2 diabetes, where diet and exercise is no longer effective; providing information and education about the medical options for treatment.

How can diabetes education assist you?

Our Diabetes Educators can work with you to discuss and explain what diabetes is, ways of successfully managing the disease, how to correctly use a blood glucose meter, and how to understand the results. They also explain how to avoid or delay the possible complications diabetes can bring. This may be done individually or in a group.
